Vestibular dysfunction
Regain your balance and confidence with targeted vestibular rehabilitation. Our clinic offers tailored physio treatments to resolve vertigo, reduce dizziness, and improve balance.

What is it?
BPPV and Vestibular Neuritis are two common causes of dizziness but differ in how they occur and feel. BPPV happens when tiny crystals in the inner ear move out of place, causing short bursts of spinning dizziness triggered by certain head movements, like looking up or lying down. It’s usually easy to treat with simple repositioning exercises.
Vestibular Neuritis, on the other hand, is caused by inflammation (often from a virus) that affects the nerve, leading to sudden, intense vertigo that can last for days along with nausea and unsteadiness. Recovery may take longer and often involves vestibular rehabilitation to help the brain adapt.
Our Treatment approach
At Reframe, we use a device known as Vesticam for our evaluations. This infrared camera provides us with a clearer view of your eyes, allowing us detect the subtle movements essential for our diagnosis. An accurate diagnosis is crucial for recovery, as the vestibular system is a highly specialized organ. Our goal is to identify the root cause of your issue and help you return to peak condition from day one!

How are we different?
My strength comes from extensive clinical experience. With over six years working in the Emergency Department, I have managed a wide range of cases involving dizziness and imbalance. This experience has honed my ability to distinguish between benign inner ear conditions and more serious neurological causes. Supporting patients from acute presentation through to safe discharge has strengthened my confidence and expertise in managing these complex presentations.
In addition, my background in manual therapy provides a valuable advantage. A significant proportion of dizziness originates from dysfunction in the upper cervical spine, an area in which I am well trained to assess and treat.
If you are experiencing dizziness, vertigo, or imbalance, book a vestibular assessment today to begin your path toward recovery and confidence in movement.
What to expect for the session
We will begin by taking a detailed history of how your symptoms started and how they are currently affecting you. This will be followed by a comprehensive physical assessment that looks at the central (brain), cervical (neck), vestibular, and balance systems. As some of the tests are performed on the treatment bed, please come dressed comfortably. If you have any issues with your neck or back, let us know — we can adapt the assessment techniques accordingly.
If we identify an acute vestibular dysfunction, we will determine which canal is affected and proceed with the appropriate treatment. Depending on availability, a follow-up review may be arranged later in the day or within the same week.
For other conditions, we will start you on tailored exercises and schedule a review to monitor your progress.
If there are any concerning findings, we will ensure your care is escalated promptly so that you receive the appropriate attention as soon as possible.
